Grapeseed Oil

Grapeseed oil is made by extracting oil from the seeds of grapes, typically those left over from winemaking or juice production. It's a good source of vitamin E and linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid found naturally in the skin which helps with skin repair. Grapeseed oil has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties that are beneficial for managing acne breakouts and reducing the appearance of scars.

Organic Yellow Beeswax

To harvest beeswax, beekeepers remove the wax cappings from honeycombs during honey extraction. The cappings are then melted, strained, and then cooled, resulting in pure beeswax. Beeswax acts as a natural emollient, softening and smoothing the skin. Beeswax also contains antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, making it beneficial for soothing irritated skin and promoting wound healing.

Raw Mango Butter

Mango butter is made by mechanically pressing dried mango kernels to extract the oil, which is then decanted and filtered to purify. Its high emollience softens and moisturizes the skin by creating a protective barrier that locks in moisture. The fatty acids in mango butter help to improve skin elasticity and suppleness. Its high vitamin C content helps to improve skin tone and reduce hyperpigmentation.

Craxwax provides adjustable and durable moisture that doesn't clog pores, and it's perfect for face and body. Just warm a bit between your hands and massage all over as desired, paying special attention to areas of extra dryness.

It's also effective as a scar and stretch mark treatment or cuticle ointment, and it's gentle enough for even those with the most sensitive skin.

Hard work or prolonged exposure to the elements can cause cracked skin, which is extremely painful and difficult to banish. Craxwax works wonders on trouble spots, providing durable moisture that stays put. Frequent application is best, especially on hands and heels.

For effective relief and repair of painful heel fissures:

before bed, apply a generous amount to the heel
cover the area securely with household plastic wrap
wear overnight and remove the next morning
repeat as necessary for repair and prevention

Craxwax makes a very effective and nourishing pomade for hair and beard.

For frizzy hair or flyaway strands, warm a trace amount in your hands and lightly smooth along the surface of your hair for control and shine. Add to roots and scrunch for volume, or scrunch a teensy amount into longer hair for quick shine. Massage a small amount into beards and mustaches to condition, tame stray hairs, and add a glossy finish.

Craxwax is a great all-purpose balm for horses, too. Work a bit into mane and tail as a conditioner while brushing to achieve tidier braids and a glossy finish, especially on the new growth area at the top of the tail. Whatever is left on your hands can be used as a quick coat finish for extra shine.

The natural ingredients also make it a nourishing hoof conditioner. After picking the hoof, apply a liberal amount with a cloth to the hoof wall and massage it in, paying extra attention to the coronet band.

Craxwax works beautifully to condition and polish tack, belts, boots, bags, and other fine leather goods. It leaves no residue and buffs to a pleasing glow.

On clean leather, take a clean soft cloth and scoop up a generous amount of Craxwax. Working in sections, massage into leather in a circular motion. Switch to a fresh cloth to buff and polish. Remember to pay special attention to the tassles and fixture points on your tack. (It is not recommended for use on suede.)

Hi, I'm Toni. I started making this special little concoction years ago, all because of my cracked heels and fingertips. My skin was extremely dry -- I was doing a lot of work with my hands, going barefoot all the time, hiking a lot in my Chacos, constantly washing my hands as I cooked and cleaned, and merely living my human lady life within the arid climate of glorious Colorado. When I tried to find an intensive repair product for my heels that didn't have a bunch of weird chemicals, I couldn't find anything that wasn't petroleum-based. So I started experimenting with beeswax and different ratios of oils, calling it Craxwax because it was 'wax for the cracks' in my forlorn feet. I tried all sorts of things -- olive oil, coconut oil, cocoa butter -- but I discovered that they all clog pores and were incompatible with beeswax. The end result of my labors is this wondrous trifecta of simple ingredients that is natural, non-comedogenic, and does good things for skin. It's a product that I truly believe in. What began as a personal quest for hydrated skin has become something that I love to share with friends and family, and now all of you as well.
